Once a year, young people gather in Vienna to party on the Donauinsel. During three days in June, around three million visitors come here to enjoy great music in a fantastic atmosphere. Over 2,000 musicians representing a wide spectrum of musical directions celebrate out there on the island's stage, reviving a little of the spirit of Woodstock.
Other events such as Jazz Fest Wien and Vienna Blues Spring have also become meccas for international artists. World stars get together to celebrate along with their fans. As a university city, Vienna boasts a very diverse student culture. Many young people from Europe and around the world come here to learn, live and have fun together.
